Lehigh Valley Choppers, of Allentown, PA was incorporated in January 2004 owned and operated by Joe Totenbier.

Joe brings a wealth of knowledge to the company. His past experiences include working in the automotive, motorcycle and aviation industries. During his mechanic/fabrication career, Joe has obtained his Federal Aviation Administration airframe and powerplant license. He has also received American Welding Society (AWS) certification to weld 4130 Chromolly tubing, titanium and stainless steel, using the tig process. While working for Airgas, additional training has been obtained by attending specialty welding classes at the Miller, Esab, Lincoln and Sandvik facilities.

Joe enjoyed working for numerous Indy Car teams such as: Porsche Motor Sports and Walker Racing in Warrington, PA. Along with Granatelli Racing in Phoenix Arizona, Patrick Racing in Indianapolis, Indiana and Penske Racing in Reading PA. Joe was also part of the winning pit crew of the Indy 500 in 1993, with driver, Emerson Fittapaldi.

After leaving Penske Racing, Joe moved to the west coast to work for the Gaffoglio family at Metal Crafters then in Newport Beach, California.

Joe then decided to pursue his dream and have a business of his own in the machining and fabrication industry. He then returned to the east coast, and started a company called Bear Productions, LTD. He does specialty welding and design, and after years of success relying solely on word of mouth, Joe decided to start a second company focusing on custom vehicles, thus comes Lehigh Valley Choppers!
